The candy chicken coop is a compact and decently productive replacement for the classic chicken coop, ideal where space on the farm is tight. Upgrading it pays off well into the high levels, you only need to be careful with the last step for diamonds.

The candy chicken coop is a shrunken version of the chicken coop from the village fair, which turns the same feeds as an ordinary chicken coop into eggs, manure and, on top of that, feathers. It houses more chickens than a regular coop, so it also has higher base production, and it takes up only 5x5 tiles. It doesn't normally turn up in the shop, you only get it from the event. It's meant for players who want a source of eggs without sacrificing more space on the farm.

When to build it

It makes sense to build it as soon as you get it from the event and have a few free tiles on the Main farm, it unlocks at player level 29. Higher levels then open up gradually, the last one at player level 114. I got by with a single one, because it replaces the classic chicken coop and doesn't increase the number of animal buildings as such.

Is it worth upgrading

Upgrading this building is definitely worth it, egg production from chicken feed rises from 47 at level one to 94 at max level with the same 13 minute production time, so exactly double. Manure grows even more, from 15 to 36. The last level is paid for with diamonds instead of dollars though, so leave it until your farm is really up and running.

Tip from a veteran player The candy chicken coop can't be built again once you demolish it, so don't count on tearing it down to reshuffle the farm and find it a permanent spot straight away.

Most common mistake Plenty of players underestimate that the upgrade to level ten costs diamonds and go for it before they're clear on whether the jump in egg yield is even worth that price.
