Special buildings Cooperative village

For an active, well-drilled cooperative it's a great source of extra rewards, but for a cooperative without communication and coordination it stays largely wasted potential.

What it's for

When the Village Fair is in town, you and your cooperative can take on challenges based on the other competing cooperatives’ strengths and weaknesses. Produce as many of the requested products as you can to earn challenge points and win fantastic rewards.

The Village Fair is a special Cooperative village building through which the whole cooperative takes on cooperative challenges set according to the strengths and weaknesses of the competing cooperatives. It doesn't produce or process anything itself - it's more of an event hub where the cooperative collects challenge points for the requested products it makes and earns rewards for them. It has no normal levels like production buildings do, so what it's worth stands or falls on how active your cooperative is. It only suits players in a lively, cooperative-minded group - solo players get nothing out of it.

When to build it

You don't buy the Fair in the shop, the cooperative gets it another way - by completing a task, by unlocking the village or as part of an event. As with the other Cooperative village buildings, members can donate Gold to cut the remaining build time by tens of percent, and anyone who chips in more than once multiplies their village experience too - so it pays to speed the build up together rather than waiting for the timer to run down. Build it as soon as your cooperative unlocks it, because otherwise you simply have nowhere to complete Village Fair challenges.

Is it worth upgrading

The Fair has only one level and doesn't get upgraded the usual way. Its real performance comes down to how many of the requested products the cooperative can make - so mainly how well developed the other Cooperative village buildings are, like the ice cream van, the corn stand or the fruit bar, and how many specialists the cooperative has hired at the job center. The more members actively making exactly what the challenge asks for, the more challenge points and rewards the cooperative ends up with.

Tip from a veteran player Before you start producing for the Fair yourself, check the cooperative challenge overview to see which products actually count right now - there's no point making ice cream when the challenge is asking for popcorn or juice.
Most common mistake An early mistake is treating the Village Fair as a personal building everyone fills for themselves - in reality the products of the whole cooperative count, so without agreeing things in chat members often each make something different and the cooperative crawls towards the shared goal far more slowly.
