Tropical leaves are a small but necessary side resource for the compost. I treat them as an automatic bonus to growing fruit, and all you need to do is not forget to collect them.

Tropical leaves are left over as a bonus whenever you fertilize the mango, coconut or banana orchard. They cannot be sold on their own and are not bought in the shop. Their place is on the compost heap. In the island economy they are the link between the fruit orchards and the production of humus for further growing. The amount of leaves you get from one batch is always noticeably smaller than the amount of fruit itself.

How to get it

You get leaves automatically every time you fertilize an orchard. There is nothing you need to do specially for them. The mango orchard gives the fewest, at level 1 just 10 units per batch, the coconut orchard at level 1 gives 15 units, and the banana orchard gives the most, 24 units at level 1, because that fertilizer batch is the biggest. Special seaweed fertilizer does not increase the amount of leaves. It only speeds the batch up to zero time, so you do not need to bother with the special version for the leaves alone.

What to do with it

I put tropical leaves on the compost heap, where they go on to become humus for growing activities on the farm.
