What it's for

You can use these special seeds in the greenhouse to breed Nordic fruits, which you can load onto Captain Barnacle's ship when he docks in the harbor and asks for them.

Special cloudberry seeds are an unusual resource you craft in the Farm laboratory from catalysts and cloudberries themselves. You then use them in the Greenhouse to breed rare Nordic fruit, which you load onto Captain Barnacle's ship when it docks in the harbor. This is not a regular market commodity but an intermediate step that lets you fulfill his specific request. The seeds become available from player level 30, and crafting them in the laboratory also requires laboratory level 10, after which the recipe stays the same all the way up to level 23. Without these seeds you cannot fulfill Barnacle's demand for Nordic fruit.

How to get it

You cannot buy the seeds in the shop; the only way is to craft them in the Farm laboratory from its level 10 onward. One unit takes 103 Regular catalysts and 1 cloudberry, and production takes 17 minutes. Since the recipe stays the same at every laboratory level from 10 to 23, there is no point waiting for a higher building level to get a better ratio; instead, stock up on enough catalysts and cloudberries beforehand.

What to do with it

The only use is in the Greenhouse, where the seeds grow into cloudberries meant for Captain Barnacle's ship. They cannot be sold or used in any other production.

Tip from a veteran player Before you start crafting, stock up on at least several hundred catalysts in one go so the laboratory can run in batches and you are not waiting to restock the resource every time.
