What it's for

Peas grow on fields and can be turned into milled peas in the mill.

Peas are a basic crop of the Main farm, grown on the Field, the Fertile field and the Wintry fertile field. They are the starting ingredient for the whole windmill - chicken coop chain, because the Windmill grinds them into ground peas and the Nursery or the laboratory turns them into special pea seeds. You can also buy them directly in the Shop, and they are available from level 1.

How to get it

The cheapest option is a normal sowing on the Field, the Fertile field or the Wintry fertile field for 90 Dollars - as the field's level rises, the yield grows from 47 pieces at level 1 to 85 pieces at level 7 at the same seed price, so the cost per piece drops from roughly 1.9 to 1.1 Dollars. The alternative is sowing Special pea seeds, which cut the harvest time from an hour to 25 minutes but only give 24 pieces at level 1 and 43 pieces at level 7, and you have to produce the seeds first. Buying ready-made peas directly in the Shop for 50 Dollars apiece has therefore never paid off for me.

What to do with it

I send most of my harvested peas to the Windmill for ground peas, which the Chicken coop then needs to produce feathers. I keep some for the Nursery or the Farm laboratory, where they are turned into special pea seeds for faster sowing next time.

Tip from a veteran player Keep peas sown on every available field at once, the windmill and the nursery eat through them constantly and they tend to run out right when you need them most.

Most common mistake The most common mistake is buying peas in the Shop for 50 Dollars instead of growing your own, which costs a fraction of that.
