What it's for

You can load limes onto the ship as soon as it docks in the harbor and the captain asks for them. You can't sell limes.

Limes are a primary raw material that you grow in the Greenhouse on the Main farm, Gourmet farm and Flower farm from level 30. Unlike most crops, you can't sell them on the market - their purpose is to be loaded onto the ship once it docks in the harbor and asks for limes. They are also the input for producing special lime seeds in the Farm laboratory, so part of them flows back into your own production.

How to get it

In the Greenhouse you can choose from three recipes depending on which seeds you use. Lime seeds give 18 pieces in 20 minutes, Special lime seeds 411 pieces in 30 minutes and Premium lime seeds 2065 pieces in 4 hours, and as the greenhouse levels up the yield of each recipe grows even further. For quick smaller batches I go for the seeds, for a big volume over a longer break I choose the premium seeds.

What to do with it

The main use is loading them onto the ship in the harbor according to what it is asking for. Besides that, you send limes to the Farm laboratory, where they are turned into special lime seeds, which you then need again to grow them in the Greenhouse.

Tip from a veteran player Before I grow limes I always check whether the harbor or the laboratory actually needs them right now - you can't sell them, so a surplus has no other use.

Most common mistake Trying to sell limes on the market like an ordinary crop - with these it simply isn't possible.
