Fir wood is an undemanding raw material as long as you have a leveled-up Fir grove and a stock of fertilizer - the key is not to overpay for fertilizer that gives you nothing extra.

What it's for

Grows in fir tree groves and can be processed in the festive workshop.

Fir wood is the basic raw material of the Festive farm, and I get it from the Fir grove. It doesn't grow from a seed like a regular crop but is produced by processing fertilizer right in the grove. It only unlocks from level 30, so you won't run into it right at the start on the Festive farm. I use it further on in the Festive workshop, where it goes into the Christmas tree, the wreath and the reindeer figurine.

How to get it

You can't buy Fir wood in the shop, the only way to get it is production in the Fir grove. Winter fertilizer and Premium winter fertilizer give exactly the same yield for the same 10 units (150 to 300 pieces per hour depending on the grove level), the Premium one just adds 500 XP on top, so I only pick it when I'm after experience, otherwise I reach for the cheaper Winter fertilizer. If I have Special seaweed fertilizer available, it's worth using it first, because it gives more pieces (195 to 390 depending on level) and is finished instantly, plus a 1000 XP bonus.

What to do with it

I send Fir wood to the Festive workshop, where it's the input for three products at once - the Christmas tree, the Christmas wreath and the Reindeer figurine.

Tip from a veteran player Before you start producing in bulk, upgrade the Fir grove to a higher level - the fertilizer cost stays the same (10 units), but the yield goes up by 50 pieces with every level.

Most common mistake Wasting Premium winter fertilizer on this recipe, even though regular Winter fertilizer gives exactly the same number of pieces of wood for the same amount.
