What it's for

You can load figs onto the ship as soon as it docks in the harbor and the captain asks for them. You can't sell figs.

Figs grow in the Greenhouse on the same three farms as Elderberries and, just like them, can't be sold - they belong to Captain Barnacle when his ship docks in the harbor and asks for them. With a base price of 5000 Dollars they're more expensive than Elderberries. The recipe unlocks at level 30 and, as with Elderberries, there are three seed variants with different yield-to-time ratios. On the farm you'll mostly see them as an ongoing supply for ship deliveries, not as goods to sell.

How to get it

Basic Fig seeds give 26 pieces in 30 minutes, Special fig seeds 606 pieces in 46 minutes and Premium fig seeds 2982 pieces in 6 hours. So here too, special and premium seeds multiply the greenhouse's output, even if they take a bit longer.

What to do with it

The only processing for Figs besides loading them onto the ship is the Farm laboratory, where they're turned into Special fig seeds - unlike Elderberries, they don't go into the Jam factory.

Tip from a veteran player Since Premium fig seeds keep the greenhouse busy for a full 6 hours, they're best started in the evening or overnight, while the shorter 30-minute basic recipe is better for filling gaps between other tasks.

Most common mistake It's a mistake to grow Figs only according to what the docked ship happens to want and keep no reserve for feeding the Farm laboratory - without extra figs, Special seed production stops.
