Bananas are the slowest and most expensive of the three fruit orchards and the least versatile at the same time, so I treat them more as a top-up for the tropical star than as a main crop.

What it's for

Grow in the banana orchard. Can be processed in the beach bar.

You harvest bananas from the banana orchard on the Island farm, and of all three orchards they have the longest production time and the highest base price. They are fertilized with island fertilizer just like mangoes and coconuts, only in a bigger batch of one hundred units at a time. In the island economy bananas have a narrower use than mangoes or coconuts, because the beach bar needs them for just one recipe. Here too the orchard throws out tropical leaves for the compost when fertilized.

How to get it

At level 1 the banana orchard processes one hundred units of island fertilizer or premium island fertilizer over 11 hours and yields 450 bananas. Premium fertilizer adds 3600 XP on top for the same result. Special seaweed fertilizer gives bananas right away and in greater numbers, at level 1 a straight 585 units and 7200 XP. At orchard level 4 you get 1125 units per batch with regular fertilizer or 1463 units with special fertilizer.

What to do with it

At the beach bar bananas only go into the tropical star, so grow them mainly according to how much of this one recipe you actually need, not as a stockpile the way you do with mangoes.

Tip from a veteran player Plan the eleven-hour cycle for a time when you know you will not be back in the game any sooner, so the orchard does not sit there finished and unused.

Most common mistake A common mistake is growing bananas in the same quantities as mangoes or coconuts, even though the bar only uses them in one recipe and the surplus just piles up.
