The Snowbound chicken coop is an improved seasonal version of the regular chicken coop - the game describes it as more productive, because it gets more eggs out of the same feed. On a small 5x5 plot it processes chicken feed into eggs and manure, so it sits at the same spot in the economic cycle as the ordinary chicken coop, just with higher efficiency. It's available from player level 0, so you'll come across it practically right at the start of the game. It suits anyone who wants to raise egg production without building another regular chicken coop.

When to build it

Given that level one is available from player level 0 for a mere 15,000 gold and 19 minutes of construction, there's no point in putting off adding it to your production. It's a unique building, so one will be enough alongside your regular chicken coop or coops.

Is it worth upgrading

Upgrading is worth keeping up continuously - the price rises from 15,000 gold at level one to 60,000 at level nine, while egg production from basic chicken feed goes up from 31 to 62 units for the same 13 minutes, so exactly double. Level ten already costs 20,000 diamonds and only unlocks at player level 124, so it's more of a goal for a developed farm than something you chase right away.

Tip from a veteran player Chicken feed gets processed here in just 13 minutes, so I check the coop more often than the slower livestock - otherwise it sits there empty for no reason.

Most common mistake With the Snowbound chicken coop players often underestimate that it's a one-off building and demolish it as thoughtlessly as a regular structure - then they find out they've lost the improved egg production for good.
