What it's for

Special herring eggs have a growth rate and yield amount that is different from the normal seed.

Special herring roe is the counterpart of the regular herring roe, but with a different growth speed and yield. I stock it in the Winter field, where Herring grows from it. I use it on the Viking farm, the Northern lights farm and the Festive farm. In the game it unlocks from level 30 and is not available in the shop.

How to get it

There is no recipe for producing this roe in the game and you cannot buy it in the shop, even though it has a listed base price of 250 Gold. You can only get it as a reward from events, for missions or from mystery boxes in the warehouse. The base price is therefore more of a reference figure than a real purchase option.

What to do with it

It has just one use. You stock it in the Winter field, where Herring hatches from it. It works the same on all three farms where you have the Winter field.

Tip from a veteran player Use the Herring from the special roe first wherever you have contracts or missions in progress that require Herring, so you do not leave the reward sitting around for nothing.

Most common mistake A frequent mistake is confusing this roe with sardine roe just because of the similar price and farms. They are two different raw materials with a different output.
