The prickly pear is a primary product of the Gourmet farm, available from level 30. It grows in the Garden, Fertile garden and Beach garden, and also in the more productive Glorious, Deluxe and Spectacular gardens, always from Prickly pear seeds, and its base selling price is 650 Dollars. You can't buy it in the shop, growing it is the only way to get it. It's a fast crop with a production time of 45 minutes regardless of the building's level.

How to get it

You grow it by planting a single Prickly pear seed in the Garden, Fertile garden, Beach garden or one of the better gardens, and the harvest takes 45 minutes at every building level. The higher the level of the building, the more units you get from one planting - in the basic gardens that runs from 44 units at level 1 to 91 up to 96 units at the top level, and in the Glorious, Deluxe and Spectacular gardens it even goes from 101 units all the way to 209. That's why it pays to keep upgrading the building where your prickly pears grow, because the harvest time doesn't change, only the yield goes up.

What to do with it

The prickly pear is meant to be sold, and the base price of 650 Dollars makes it a solid source of income for the Gourmet farm. Harvest it regularly and sell it for Dollars, which is what pays for further development on the Gourmet farm.

Tip from a veteran player Focus on upgrading the Garden or Fertile garden where you grow prickly pears, because for the same 45-minute harvest a higher building level gives you dozens of units more.
