Obsidian turnip seed is a powerful seed from the Obsidian farm. It's made in the Winter garden and sown on fields on the Main farm, where it grows into turnips. It's the basic tier of turnip seed from the obsidian line, and there's an even stronger XL version alongside it. You can't buy it in the shop, it's purely something you produce yourself. Thanks to its lower resource use, it's one of the cheaper obsidian recipes.

How to get it

One unit takes 2 Special turnip seeds and 84 Obsidian manure plus one more resource, and production runs for 2 hours. It's the cheaper option compared to XL turnip seed, which costs exactly double the resources for the same amount of time, so I go for it whenever I want to save manure. Without producing it in the Winter garden there's no way to get this seed at all.

What to do with it

I sow it on fields and fertile fields on the Main farm, where it grows into turnips. The recipe doesn't list any other use.

Tip from a veteran player Before you jump into the XL version, do the math on whether the basic turnip seed is enough for you, because it saves you half the Obsidian manure per unit.

Most common mistake It's a mistake to stock up on resources for turnip seed only in bursts instead of topping up Obsidian manure steadily so you always have it on hand for production.
