You can use these seeds in the greenhouse to breed sweet fruits, which you can load onto Captain Barnacle's ship when he docks in the harbor and asks for them.

Elderberry seeds are a secondary ingredient that, according to the official description, you use in the Greenhouse to grow elderberries, which you then load onto Captain Barnacle's ship in the harbor. You'll find them on the same three farms as Elderberries themselves - Main, Gourmet and Flower. The recipe that uses the seeds is available from level 30, and the seeds themselves aren't bought in the shop. With a base price of 55 Gold they are, together with Gooseberry seeds, the cheapest item in this whole batch.

How to get it

Elderberry seeds aren't bought in the shop, so you need to have them ready before you start on the greenhouse. There's no recipe for producing the seeds themselves attached to this item - the only certain thing is their role in the Elderberries recipe, where one seed turns into 18 Elderberries in 20 minutes.

What to do with it

The only known use for the seeds is the Greenhouse, where you turn them into Elderberries - there's no other processing for them.

Tip from a veteran player If you have the seeds, compare the yield with Special elderberry seeds - those give 411 Elderberries instead of 18 in a similar time, so basic seeds are more of a fallback for when you don't have special ones at hand.

Most common mistake The most common mistake is mixing up these basic seeds with Special elderberry seeds when planning greenhouse batches and expecting the same result from 18 pieces as from 411 - the planned delivery for the ship or for jam then doesn't add up.
