Efficient rabbit hutch

Animal buildings Gourmet farm

The Efficient rabbit hutch makes sense mainly as a shortcut for players who don't want to wait for dollars or who are after extra XP, but as a purely economic use of gold it's far from the best option.

What it's for

This efficient rabbit hutch is used to produce angora wool and dung and has a higher production output than the regular rabbit hutch.

Produces

The Efficient rabbit hutch is the gold version of the classic Rabbit hutch on the Gourmet farm and it does exactly the same job, turning feed made from parsnips in the Water mill into angora wool, with manure for the silo as a by-product. It takes up the same 6x6 space, needs the same number of workers and unlocks at the same player level 28 as the regular version. The main difference is that you build and upgrade it with gold instead of dollars, and on every level you get exactly double the experience compared to the classic Rabbit hutch. The in-game description says it should have a higher production output, even though the production numbers in the tables come out the same as for the dollar version. It's mainly for players who want to save time and don't want to wait around until they've saved up big piles of dollars.

When to build it

Building the Efficient rabbit hutch makes sense at the same moment as the classic version, so once you've got parsnips and feed from the Water mill sorted on your Gourmet farm and once you hit player level 28. The difference is that instead of saving dollars you pay gold, so you go for this variant mainly when you want the animals up and running straight away and don't want to wait until you've collected a big pile of dollars.

Is it worth upgrading

The build itself costs you 364 gold and upgrading gets pricier and pricier, from 1820 on the second level up to 76440 on the tenth, and since the production numbers come out the same as for the dollar version, upgrading is worth it mainly if you want to rack up XP fast or you don't want to wait for large sums of dollars. From a purely economic point of view, meaning output per level, upgrading with gold doesn't make nearly as much sense as it does with the classic Rabbit hutch.

Tip from a veteran player Before you pick the efficient version over the classic Rabbit hutch, work out how much gold all ten levels will cost you, because with identical production you're usually better off saving your gold for something dollars can't buy.
Most common mistake Players assume the efficient version automatically produces far more goods than the classic Rabbit hutch, and then they're disappointed that the production tables come out the same, so they end up spending gold on something they could have built with dollars.
