What it's for

Made from sugar beets in the sugar mill and can be made into candy in the candy factory.

You make syrup in the sugar mill from sugar beet, so it shares a building with sugar but uses a different raw material and a different recipe. You'll use it in the candy factory when making sugar decorations and gingerbread hearts. You can't buy it in the shop, it's purely a product of your own production. On the Candy farm it's available from level 30.

How to get it

The syrup recipe speeds up far more with the sugar mill's level than it saves beet - from 5 hours at level one you get all the way down to 3 minutes at level four, while beet consumption drops only slightly, from 45 to 42 units. So the sugar mill is worth upgrading mainly for the speed.

What to do with it

You need syrup in the candy factory for sugar decorations and gingerbread hearts, that is in the same two recipes as sugar.

Tip from a veteran player Since syrup shares a building with sugar, plan your sugar mill queues so that both raw materials run out at the same time and you're not left waiting needlessly for one of them.

Most common mistake The most common mistake is keeping the sugar mill at a low level for a long time because of sugar and forgetting that syrup production for the same products then drags on just as slowly.
