What it's for

The candy factory uses ingredients from your candy farm to make candy.

Produces

The candy factory is the main production building of the Candy farm, and it processes ingredients such as sugar, syrup, cocoa powder or sweet grapes into six kinds of sweets, from sugar decorations to marzipan. You don't buy it in the shop like an ordinary building, you get it another way, typically by completing a quest or unlocking the farm. Right from the first level it needs five workers, and its demands climb steeply with every upgrade. It's a building for players who already grow ingredients on the Candy farm and want to put them to good use, not for complete newcomers to this farm.

When to build it

Once you get it, it makes sense to fire it up right away, because without it the ingredients from the sugar field and other sources just sit there unused. One factory per farm is enough, and having enough workers to staff it matters more than the number of buildings.

Is it worth upgrading

Upgrading pays off substantially here, because with the main recipes like sugar decorations, fruit pudding, gingerbread hearts or chocolate the production time at the top level drops from hours to single-digit minutes for the same output. What you pay for it is growing worker demand, from five at the first level to forty-five at the fourth, so you need houses ready before you upgrade.

Tip from a veteran player Build your houses first, before you upgrade the factory, otherwise the new level is no use to you, because with no free workers you won't get production running.

Most common mistake The most common mistake is upgrading the factory to a higher level without enough workers, so the new capacity lies idle and the money spent on the upgrade brings nothing back.
