What it's for
You can use these special seeds in the greenhouse to breed sweet fruits, which you can load onto Captain Barnacle's ship when he docks in the harbor and asks for them.
Premium passionflower seeds are named after the plant, but in the greenhouse they grow into passion fruit, so there's a slightly confusing gap between the name of the seed and the name of the harvested fruit. They unlock at level 35 along with the rest of the sweet fruit and go into the greenhouse on the Main farm, Gourmet farm or Flower farm. At 6250 gold they're the second most expensive item in their group. They have a single purpose, growing passion fruit for one specific request in the harbor.
How to get it
You can't buy these seeds in the shop and you won't find a recipe for them in the game either, so no combination of goods on the farm will get you any. They land in your temporary storage as a reward from events and quests, and from there you move them into the greenhouse. Because of the higher price, it pays to use them only once you know you really do need passion fruit.
What to do with it
A passionflower seed grows into passion fruit, which you load onto Captain Barnacle's ship when it docks in the harbor and asks for passion fruit. Passion fruit has no other use - it doesn't go to the market or into processing, only onto Captain Barnacle's ship.
