Paint is a typical transit material, I never sell it anywhere myself, but without it the production of both the box and the hat stops, so I prefer to keep it running in the queue at all times.

What it's for

Useful for many things. You can produce it in the timber and textiles factory.

Paint is a raw material I produce in the Wood and textile factory in the Cooperative village. It cannot be bought in the shop, so the farm has to rely entirely on its own production. It is made by combining five inputs, spruce wood, willow twigs, clay, white sand and olive oil, and from there I use it to build more demanding goods in two different factories.

How to get it

The recipe does not change at all from level 7 up to level 20, it is always 167 spruce wood, 195 willow twigs, 20 clay, 20 white sand and 156 olive oil for 25 units and 30 minutes. Since paint cannot be bought, the only way is to have all five materials in stock at the same time, otherwise production starts but immediately stalls on the missing item. There is no point waiting for a higher factory level in the hope of a better ratio, the cost stays exactly the same.

What to do with it

I send paint on to make the wooden box and the captain's hat right in the wood and textile factory, and also to the minerals and metals factory, where it goes into colored tiles, the flacon and the pipe. On its own it is mostly a stepping stone on the way to more expensive goods.

Tip from a veteran player Before you start producing paint, check your olive oil stock first, because the recipe uses more of it than any of the other five materials and it is the one that most often brings production to a halt.

Most common mistake The most common mistake is forgetting that you cannot buy paint in the shop and leaving the production queue empty, expecting to simply buy it in like other raw materials.
