What it's for
You can collect white sand by harvesting a dry field. White sand is used to build your cooperative village.
White sand is a construction material you'll mainly use when building the cooperative village. You get it by collecting from the dry field, one of the special fields in the cooperative settlement. Besides collecting it, you can also extract it in the Mine, so you have a choice of how to top up your stock. In the farm economy it also serves as an input for several other products in the wood and textile factory as well as the minerals and metals factory.
How to get it
Buying it in the shop is out of the question here, white sand can only be collected or mined. The fastest way to get it is collecting from the dry field, and if you want a steady supply for building the village, it pays to build and upgrade the Mine. The recipe there always uses the same 40 units of input material per 3 hours, but with a higher Mine level you get four to five times more out of it, from 4 to 20 units, so the cost per unit drops with every level.
What to do with it
Part of your white sand stays with you for building structures in the cooperative village. The rest is worth sending to the wood and textile factory, where you turn it into paint, blockboard or construction timber, or to the minerals and metals factory for bricks, glass and reinforced concrete.
