What it's for
Essence of jasmine is produced in the distillery. It can be made into other items in the shop.
Jasmine essence is made by processing jasmine in the distillery, much like lavender essence from lavender. It's a typical intermediate step that you process further in the shop into finished products. Its base price of 600 Dollars is even slightly lower than jasmine itself, so I keep it for further production rather than for selling.
How to get it
The recipe in the distillery uses a full 62 pieces of jasmine for a batch of 120 pieces, and the time drops from 8 hours at level 1 down to 1 hour at level 10. Because of the high jasmine consumption per batch it pays to have your storage filled in advance, otherwise the distillery will sit unused after you start the recipe. Buying in the shop for 600 Dollars a piece is the far more expensive option, only useful when you're missing the last few pieces to finish a production run.

In the shop the essence is processed into Flower perfume as well as the Soap set, so it has two different production lines you can send it to.
