Vineyard – Goodgame Big FarmVineyard – Level 1

Vineyard

Orchards Main farm

The Vineyard is a cheap and useful orchard at the end of the farm cycle that's worth building soon after you unlock it, but the real effort has to go into keeping it supplied with fertilizer.

What it's for

Fertilizer will help you grow red grapes in this orchard, plus you will receive fallen leaves for the composter as well. Fertilizer is made in the silo from dung.

Produces

The Vineyard is an orchard on the Main farm where fertilizer made in the silo from manure gets you red grapes, with fallen leaves for the Composter as a by-product. It sits at the very end of the farm's production cycle, so you need fields, a mill and animal buildings behind you, because it's their manure that flows through the silo into the fertilizer the Vineyard uses. It unlocks as early as player level 17 and takes up a 6x6 space, so it fits even on a moderately developed farm. It suits anyone who wants a source of red grapes on the Main farm for further processing and a steady supply of leaves for the Composter at the same time.

When to build it

The Vineyard is worth building as soon as you've got manure and fertilizer production running in the silo on your Main farm, because without that it'll just stand there empty. From player level 17 it costs only 3500 dollars and twenty-five minutes of building time, so the first one is a cheap affair you can put up almost straight after you unlock the silo. Since it's an orchard at the end of the cycle, a second one only makes sense once you have a fertilizer surplus that a single Vineyard can't keep up with.

Is it worth upgrading

Upgrading pays off step by step. On the first level one batch of fertilizer gives you 400 red grapes in 5 hours, while on the top ninth level you get 861 grapes in the same 5 hours, more than double the output from the same batch and the same time. Upgrade costs climb from thousands into millions of dollars and build times stretch to over two days, so save the higher levels for the moment when you have enough fertilizer to actually make use of the extra capacity.

Tip from a veteran player Keep an eye on your manure supply in the silo before you take the Vineyard to a higher level, because a bigger grape yield does nothing for you if you don't have enough fertilizer for a steady stream of batches.
Most common mistake Players throw up a Vineyard on the Main farm right away but forget to get manure and fertilizer production going in the silo first, so the orchard sits there with nothing to process and just eats up space.
