The sweet almond orchard grows sweet almonds, an important raw material for the crushing mill on the Candy farm, and like the other orchards it drops sweet leaves for the composter as a by-product. It's pricier and more demanding than the cherry orchard, the first level alone costs 28750 sugar dollars and asks for 8 workers. Just like at the cherry orchard you can start production with gold, with sugar dollars, or with the seaweed action fertilizer for an instant harvest and an XP bonus. It suits anyone who wants their own supply of almonds for the crushing mill instead of relying on buying them.

When to build it

The building has only one level. Put it up as soon as you have enough spare workers on the farm, the first level asks for 8 people, and according to the game you don't need any particular player level for it. It makes sense to build it before you get the crushing mill going at full speed, because the mill consumes almonds straight away and without your own source you'd have to get them somewhere else. One orchard is enough to start with, add a second one only once the mill starts running through almonds faster than one orchard can supply them.

Is it worth upgrading

Between the 1st and the 4th level the almond yield grows from 75 to 600, so eight times more, while the leaves only go from 26 to 79, roughly triple, for the same three hours of production. The price climbs even more steeply though, from 570000 to 1700000 sugar dollars between the second and the fourth level, so only go for the higher levels once your crushing mill can genuinely process that many almonds.

Tip from a veteran player Before you upgrade the almonds to a higher level, check that your crushing mill is at a level that can handle the increased production, otherwise the almonds will just sit around in storage.
