The Glorious almond orchard is the biggest type of orchard you will find on the Gourmet farm and it turns fertilizers into almonds and leaves. It takes up 7x14 tiles and it is a pure production building with no extra decorative function, so it mainly suits players who already have fertilizer production running on the Gourmet farm and want to process it into almonds on a big scale. The first level needs seven workers, which is not nothing early on, and every upgrade adds more. It is one of three visually different versions of the same orchard, so don't worry about picking the less fancy one, it won't affect production.

When to build it

You can build the orchard from player level 24, which is when the first stage unlocks as well. Given the large footprint and the worker demands it makes sense to build it once you have housing and happiness sorted, otherwise seven extra workers will push your unhappiness up needlessly early. One per farm is enough, because another orchard of the same type would just eat up space with no extra benefit, so handle production by upgrading the orchard you already have.

Is it worth upgrading

It is worth upgrading steadily all the way to the maximum ninth level, because the main recipes almost double the output. Super fertilizer gives 216 almonds at level one and 474 at max, all in the same four hours of production. Watch out for the last step, because from level eight (player level 86) to nine you will need player level 140 outright, so most players sit there for a long time.

Tip from a veteran player Personally I reach for seaweed fertilizer whenever I want almonds right away with no waiting, since it converts instantly and throws in 2000 XP on top, which comes in handy when you are hunting levels.

Most common mistake The most common mistake is believing that the pricier or fancier version of the orchard (deluxe, spectacular) produces more than this one. According to the level and production tables all three have exactly the same numbers, they only differ in looks.
