Steel beams are a costlier material with three follow-up recipes, so it's best to produce them with an eye on what you're planning next in the factory.

You produce steel beams in the Mineral and metal factory from poplar wood, pebbles and charcoal. For one batch of twenty-five pieces you need one hundred and twenty-nine pieces of poplar wood, six pebbles and twenty-eight charcoal, production takes six hours and the recipe doesn't change from factory level seven onwards. They can't be bought in the shop. They serve as an intermediate product for further processing in the same factory.

How to get it

The steel beam recipe is material-hungry mainly for poplar wood and charcoal, so prepare both in larger amounts ahead of time. Because the recipe doesn't change at higher factory levels, there's no reason to put production off.

What to do with it

You send steel beams on in the Mineral and metal factory for cables, a skylight or reinforced concrete. Whatever you don't need for these recipes, you can sell at the base price of 3680 dollars each.
