A good tool for a different sage growing pace, but the low yield means you have to plan ahead.

Special sage seeds are a different version of the regular sage seeds and they grow in the Winter garden on the Obsidian farm. They have a different growth speed and different yields than the classic seeds, which lets you change the pace of growing sage on a volcanic field. In the farm's cycle it's only a middle step before the sage harvest, it isn't sold on its own. You can't buy it in the shop, production happens purely in the Winter garden.

How to get it

Special sage seeds are made exclusively in the Winter garden, buying them in the shop isn't an option. The recipe stays the same at every building level - three resources in a ratio of 6 to 50 to 10 turn into 2 units of seeds in 30 minutes. Because the yield per batch is so low, you need to plan production well ahead if you want to sow a bigger stretch of volcanic field.

What to do with it

Plant the sage seeds on a volcanic field or a fertile volcanic field, that's where they grow into sage. Outside of this one crop the resource has no other use.
