Rye grows on volcanic acres and can be processed further in the feed kitchen.

Rye is a basic Obsidian farm ingredient you harvest on the Volcanic field or the Fertile volcanic field. It serves as the input for the feed kitchen, so it makes sense to grow it continuously and in larger amounts. The base price per unit is 240 Obsidian dollars and you can also buy it straight from the shop. You can grow it from level 0, so practically the moment you found the farm.

How to get it

The recipe is the same on both field types and on all their levels, so for 500 Obsidian dollars you get 23 units in 30 minutes, roughly 21.7 Obsidian dollars per unit. Given the base price of 240 Obsidian dollars, buying it in the shop is practically never worth it, growing your own comes out far cheaper. And since the recipe doesn't change with the field level, the lowest level Volcanic field will do just fine.
