What it's for

Cherry jam can be produced in the jam factory.

Cherry jam is made in the Jam factory on the Gourmet farm out of cherries and it's one of the more valuable processed goods on the farm, with a base price of 37000 Dollars per unit. Unlike Apple jam it also goes on to the Bakery, where it's an ingredient for the Pink doughnut, so it has two uses. It's made faster than Apple jam, which makes it the better pick for keeping the factory queue moving. In the farm economy it works as the link between your fruit growing and your baking.

How to get it

The recipe runs from factory level 2 upwards and uses 800 cherries and 120 units of a second ingredient for a batch of 90 jars of jam in just 18 minutes. Thanks to that short production time you can cycle batches far more often than with Apple jam, as long as you have enough cherries in stock. It's worth making pretty much any time you have cherries to spare, because the quick production frees up factory capacity for the next batch right away.

What to do with it

Some of the output is worth selling straight away or sending into contracts, and the rest goes to the Bakery for Pink doughnuts, where it serves as an ingredient for further processing.

Tip from a veteran player Always set some of the finished jam aside for the Bakery, so your Pink doughnut production doesn't run dry just because you sold everything off.

Most common mistake It's a shame to sell the whole batch at once and then find you have no jam for the doughnuts in the Bakery, where it could be turned into something pricier.
