What it's for
Your industrious workers eat and sleep in the simple trailer home. New trailer homes increase the number of workers, but cause unhappiness.
The simple trailer is the cheapest way to get more workers on the Candy farm, and it's built for sugar dollars rather than gold. Every one you build or upgrade adds residents, but it also drags farm happiness down, by forty points at the first level and by sixty at the fourth. It's the choice for anyone who needs to raise their worker count quickly and doesn't want to, or can't, dip into gold. The downside is the growing unhappiness, which you have to offset with decorations and more housing.
When to build it
Build one whenever you're running out of free workers for new or upgraded production buildings such as the candy factory or the sugar field. How many you need depends on how many workers your production buildings require in total, and it's better to have several smaller ones so the unhappiness creeps up in steps.
Is it worth upgrading
Upgrading raises resident capacity faster than unhappiness grows, from ten to twenty-eight residents, almost triple, against unhappiness going from forty to sixty, only half as much again. Upgrading a trailer you already have is therefore more efficient than building another new one.
