The salad bar is a small 1×1 stall in the Cooperative village where you turn cabbage, milk, lamb's lettuce and olives into fresh salad and Greek salad. Like the other stalls by the festival tent it isn't sold in the Shop, I got mine another way, during an event. The ingredients are fairly easy to come by - cabbage from the Field, milk from the Cowshed, lamb's lettuce from the Windmill, but olives you have to buy or produce separately. It suits players who want to fill lighter, quicker contracts with a short production time.

When to build it

Build the bar the moment it's offered to you - it's free and without it you can't make fresh or Greek salad. One was enough for me for normal contract work, because the fresh salad recipe is done in just 6 minutes.

Is it worth upgrading

The production times stay the same even at the top level - fresh salad 6 minutes, Greek salad 36 minutes - but the ingredients change. Fresh salad adds lamb's lettuce to the cabbage, and in Greek salad the cabbage disappears altogether and is replaced by milk, lamb's lettuce and olives. Upgrades are paid in event currency, so it only pays off once you have a steady supply of olives and milk for the new recipes.
