What it's for

A fancy cabin accommodates more workers than a regular cabin. Its luxury also makes your workers happier.

The Deluxe cabin does the same job as the ordinary Cabin - housing workers for the Obsidian farm - but it fits more of them in and dents happiness far less. At the first level it gives you 13 residents for a happiness drop of only -25, while the ordinary Cabin gives just 10 residents for -35 at the same level. The difference is the price - you pay in Gold instead of obsidian dollars. It suits players who want to grow fast on the Obsidian farm and have Gold to spare.

When to build it

It's available from the same level as the whole Obsidian farm, so from 114. It's worth reaching for once ordinary Cabins start dragging your happiness down too far and you have Gold you're willing to invest instead of waiting around for more obsidian dollars. How many to build depends on how many workers you need on the farm overall - the deluxe version gives you the same number of people for a smaller hit to happiness.

Is it worth upgrading

The six levels run from 13 residents and -25 happiness up to 38 residents and -115 at the sixth - so even at the top you lose less happiness than with an ordinary Cabin, and you house more people. The price climbs from 1500 to 25000 Gold and the build time stretches from 20 minutes to just under 16 hours. Upgrading is worth it for anyone who has already built a Deluxe cabin, because the ratio of residents to happiness loss stays favorable at every level.

Tip from a veteran player If you're weighing up where to put your Gold first on the Obsidian farm, a Deluxe cabin beats buying more ordinary Cabins - you get more workers for a similar hit to happiness.

Most common mistake Players build the Deluxe cabin only as an add-on to a pile of ordinary Cabins and don't notice that a smaller number of deluxe ones would give them just as many workers for a much smaller loss of happiness.
