What it's for

If you want to catch a grouper, you should build up your arm muscles first!

Grouper is a fish you catch on the Main farm, the Gourmet farm and the Flower farm. Even though it has the lowest base price of all seven fish at 700 dollars, it goes into three different dishes in The Mermaid Bay. The shop doesn't sell it and the game has no production recipe for it, so you depend on fishing right on your farm. Thanks to the low price and wide use, it is one of the more rewarding ingredients in this set.

How to get it

You only get grouper by fishing on the Main farm, the Gourmet farm or the Flower farm, because the shop doesn't sell it and the game lists no production recipe for it. Even so, the low base price of 700 dollars makes it a bargain ingredient considering how many recipes it feeds.

What to do with it

In The Mermaid Bay grouper is cooked into Grouper steak and a Sushi platter, and on top of that it can also be turned into a Sea burger. Three recipes put it among the more useful fish in this set.

Tip from a veteran player Keep a slightly bigger stock of grouper than you do of the single-purpose fish, because you may need it for three different recipes at once - Grouper steak, Sushi platter and Sea burger.
Most common mistake A mistake is to use your entire grouper catch on one dish and leave nothing for the other two recipes that also call for it.
