What it's for
The cat tree is where your very own farm cat lives. Give your cat regular attention and your farm will receive additional happiness. Furthermore, your cat will learn a new activity for each cat tree upgrade.
The cat tree is the counterpart to the doghouse, just with a cat instead of a dog, and you'll find it on the Gourmet farm. Like the dog, it produces nothing and only raises happiness on the farm as long as you give the cat some attention. Unlike the doghouse, this building has just one single level, so there is nothing more to upgrade. It suits players who already have their production sorted and want to push happiness to the maximum.
When to build it
It unlocks at player level 28, four levels later than the doghouse, and costs 95 000 dollars. Because it has only one level at a fixed price, it pays to build it the moment the game offers it - there is no reason to wait.
Is it worth upgrading
The tree cannot be upgraded, so its benefit does not grow with the money you put into it. Its performance, meaning how active the cat is and how big the happiness bonus gets, depends on how often you give the cat attention rather than on the building level - so here you are not dealing with upgrades, only with regular care.
