The Viking treasury on the Northern lights farm is where you exchange dollars for snow dollars, always at a favorable rate. It doesn't produce any normal goods, it works purely as a seasonal currency exchange. Swapping 100 dollars for 100 snow dollars happens instantly, so you can use it whenever you need to quickly top up snow dollars for a purchase or an upgrade. It suits anyone on the Northern lights farm who doesn't want to wait for snow dollars from quests alone and would rather top them up from ordinary dollars too.

When to build it

You build the treasury with snow dollars and the first level comes to 10,000 snow dollars and ten minutes of building, so it's worth having as soon as it's available. One per farm is enough, because it's a pure exchange, not a production building worth having in multiples.

Is it worth upgrading

Going by the available numbers, the exchange recipe is exactly the same at level 1 and at the maximum level – still 100 dollars for 100 snow dollars instantly, so upgrading doesn't improve the rate at all. Prices meanwhile climb from 10,000 snow dollars at level 1 up to 2.3 million at level 7, and level 8 already costs 12,000 gold and takes a whole day to build. Given that the exchange yield doesn't change with level, there's no point pouring gold into level 8 if all you want is the exchange itself.

Tip from a veteran player Use the treasury for spare dollars you have nothing to spend on right now and turn them into snow dollars before you actually need snow dollars for a purchase from the trader.

Most common mistake A pointless mistake is paying gold for level 8 in the hope of a better rate – by the numbers the exchange itself doesn't improve with level, so that gold investment never comes back to you through the exchange.
