What it's for
Your industrious workers eat and sleep in the fancy trailer home. New trailer homes increase the number of workers, but cause unhappiness.
The fancy trailer is the luxury housing option on the Candy farm, and you build it for gold instead of sugar dollars. For the same unhappiness as the simple trailer, an identical forty to sixty points across the levels, it gives you more residents, thirty-five instead of twenty-eight at the fourth level for instance. It's meant for players willing to invest gold in housing in exchange for making better use of their space. For purely free-to-play farming with no gold spending it's more of a side option.
When to build it
It pays off once you're running out of room on the Candy farm for more simple trailers and want to squeeze more workers out of every tile for the same unhappiness. How many to build depends on how much gold you're willing to put into housing, because this is an optional boost, not a required build.
Is it worth upgrading
Upgrading makes just as much sense as with the simple version, because capacity grows faster than unhappiness, from twelve to thirty-five residents against unhappiness rising only from forty to sixty. The upgrade price climbs in gold, though, so think each level over based on how much you have available.
